     you probably just gave the warranty co a way out of claim by having unauthorized person doing service to unit..the mfg warranty is likely parts only, not labor, you may be on the hook for labor since your buddy gave the warranty co a way out of paying the claim, you should never told landlord...

     suggest putting in lease tennant is responsible for monthly changing of owner supplied airfilters . that service calls generated by dirty filters will be billed to tenant... I do hvac service and 80% of rental calls are clogged airfilters...TOTALLY avoidable by simple filter changes, and you...

      the dmv does not notify an insurance co. of a citation/violation . if the insurance co wants to check your dmv record it costs them for a drivers record which they wont typically do, but you now have informed them of your violation , they MAY surcharge you,, will they ? id have no idea, it...

      i doubt the dealership is liable for your possessions when the car is stored on their property for service ,whats their policy on that?
